Cedrus deodara

Cedrus deodara – a coniferous tree growing up to 50 m tall. The leaves are needlelike, light green to bluish green grouped into tufts. It is suitable for sunny and semi-shady habitats, sheltered spaces, slightly acidic soils but deep and well-drained. It is resistant to cold temperatures but is sensitive to frost. It starts making cones at about 10 years old.
