Weigelia florida

Weigela florida – a deciduous shrub up to 2 m high. The flowers are pink and bloom abundantly in mid-spring. Likes well-drained soil, sunny areas or light semi-shade. It is resistant to low temperatures and urban pollution. It can be grown as a solitary plant or as an ornamental hedge. Weigela florida ‘variegata’ is a form with shaded leaves.
