Prunus laurocerasus

Prunus laurocerasus – an evergreen shrub or small tree up to 5 m tall. The flowers are white and bloom in April and May for about 20 days. It is often planted as an ornamental shrub, individually or in groups or as a thick hedge in yards and parks at a distance of 50-60 cm. It is an adaptable species, suited to a sunny and shady location, tolerates urban pollution which makes it suitable for the urban environment. It is frost resistant, tolerates pruning very and can be shaped into desired shapes.
