Buxus sempervirens

Buxus sempervirens – a dense evergreen small-leaved slow-growing shrub, also suitable for small hedges. It grows better in shady locations, though it can grow in sunny areas if the soil is moist enough. It is resistant to low temperatures. Tolerates pruning well, mostly used in formal gardening where it is pruned into desired shapes.
