Berberis thunbergii f. atropurpurea

Berberis thunbergii f. atropurpurea – a deciduous shrub of dark red leaves, very branched and dense stems up to 2.5 m high and up to 1 m wide. It blooms in April and May with yellow flowers. The fruits are red in color, ripen in late summer and remain on the plant in winter. It is resistant to cold temperatures and urban pollution.
