Nanda domestica – a low-growing evergreen shrub up to 2 m high. It blooms in small, white flowers in July and August. The fruit is a round, bright red berry that ripens at the end of the year and persists on the plant and in winter. Due to its reddish leaves and berries it is very decorative in appearance. It likes moist and well-drained soils, sunny or semi-shady habitats, although it tolerates shade. It is resistant to cold temperatures up to -15 ⁰C and tolerates pruning well.
