Punica granatum – Horse tooth
Punica granatum – Horse tooth – deciduous shrub or lower tree, up to 4 m high. The fruit is large, round, and slightly flattened at the poles. It ripens in mid-October. It is suitable for deep, medium-heavy, fertile and permeable soils, rich in humus (pH 5.5-6.5). Tolerant of short absence of water and of salty soil. It likes sunny and semi-shady positions, protected from the wind.
