Gynerium argenteum

Gynerium argenteum – an ornamental grass that grows up to 2 m in height. The flowers are arranged in white and bloom in late summer, September and October. Likes sheltered, sunny locations and moist, nutritious and well-drained soil. With heavy soils it is necessary to add gravel in order to maintain the drainage layer, as water retention around the roots can cause it to rot and freeze. It is pruned in February or March, 10-15 cm above the ground, in order to restore its beauty.
